Congratulations to NIESHL’s own Dr. Michael Ayala, the 2021 Illinois World Language Teacher of the Year. Dr. Ayala is a World Languages teacher at John Hersey High School in Arlington Heights. Mike received the ICTFL Paul T. Griffith Teacher of the Year Award at the 2021 ICTFL Fall Conference. He will represent Illinois in the competition for Central States Conference Teacher of the Year.
